Walk (Around) the Line!

Want to get to know the area around the High Line before you go up in a couple of months? The Center for the Urban Environment, a group dedicated to educating individuals about the built and natural environments of New York City, will be hosting a street-level tour with architectural historian Matt Postal, exploring the area surrounding the High Line.

The tour will cover the diverse architecture of West Chelsea and the Meatpacking District, including historic, as well as new buildings. Stops along the way will include Frank Gehry’s new IAC Building, the historic General Theological Seminary, the former Nabisco bakery, now Chelsea Market, and Westbeth, formerly the Bell Telephone Laboratories.
